I sketched these pictures a while ago with a cheap and cheerful program called PCPAINTBRUSH. It was the most nononsense program I ever worked with. Unfortunately being 24 Bits doesn't work with the newest PC platforms..

Herr Doktor Marx III

The only time that Karl Marx, pressed by need seeked employment(1862)

"Dear Mr Marx. We regret to inform you that your application for the position of railway clerk has been rejected because of the illegibility of your handwriting"

A nocturnal visit upstairs.

In his biography, Francis Wheen tell us that in the last year of his life, Marx cut his mane ("My crowning glory" he called it) and shaved his face clean. Unfortunately there are no photos from this period. Pity!!
