Ed, este es un "Magic Marker de la segunda generacion. Los otros eran mas gorditos y retacones. Se secaban enseguida. Tenian un olor fatal y te hacian mal a los pulmones y la garganta...Nosotros pintabamos peliculas enteras con ellos, en papel y en acetato..Miles de dibujos, terminabamos de cama.

This images are from 1961 or 62. I used to look with great attention the illustrations of Robert Weaver in "Esquire". Weaver was a master of the "Burned image". I tried to use his method but in a more expressionistic way.

Estas imagenes son de 1961 o 62. Yo miraba con gran atencion las ilustraciones de Robert Weaver que aparecian en el "Esquire. Weaver era un maestro de la "magen quemada". Yo queria emular esta tecnica pero de una manera mas expresionista. Mucho de ese entusiasmo venia de mis lecturas de Arlt por esa epoca

I drew these pictures in 1960, the small pencil sketch was behind the drawing of the minotaur and is from my very first animated commercial, done in 1960.

Estos dibujos son de 1960. El dibujito a lapiz de abajo de todo es del primer comercial animado que hice , que fue en ese año y estaba atras del dibujo del minotauro.

"Our love is impossible, I can't stand the smell of cod"

I can't think of gags. I have a sense of humour but am terrible as a "humorist". I found these "jokes" in my archives but I cannot remember what they were for. Almost certainly they were commissions but cannot remember for what publication or if they were published or not.
They are from 1967


A mi no se me ocurren chistes ni que me caguen a patadas. Tengo sentido del humor pero no soy un "humorista". Entre mis viejos dibujos encontre estos "gags" y no tengo la menor idea de para que eran o si fueron
publicados o no. Son de 1967.

Edgardo Carossia-Alma Larroca

Yesterday we had a pleasant visit from fellow Bloggers, compatriots and artists Alma Larroca and Ed Carossia (El-Ed). Wonderful evening of conversation, booze, gossip and a gargantuan meal in my favourite Nepalese restaurant. Patricia is not here because she was too busy taking this Nouvelle Vaguish photograph.

Ayer tuvimos la encantadora visita de los Bloggers, compatriotas y artistas Alma Larroca y Ed Carossia (El-Ed). Maravillosa velada de conversation, bebidas, chusmerío y una cena gargantuesca en mi restaurante nepales favorito. Patricia no aparece aquí porque estaba ocupada sacando esta fotografía Nouvelle Vague.

Ed gave me some BEAUTIFUL books by himself and this wonderful painting...Great guy, immensely talented.

Ed me regaló unos HERMOSOS libros suyos y esta maravillosa pintura. Gran muchacho, enormemente talentoso.
