William Henry Hudson(1841-1922) Wonderful author of British origin but born in Quilmes, Argentina. Wrote a beautiful and evocative book of memoirs of childhood called "Far Away and Long Ago". He became a self-educated ornithologist and was one the greatest of his generation.
